Yvette Bracone Walker is a trailblazer in Southern California's business community, known for her innovation and commitment to empowerment. Growing up in a diverse, multicultural environment, Yvette embodies resilience and has devoted her career to uplifting voices within her community.
Her professional journey began in the international manufacturing sector, where she advanced from graphic designer to leading trade markets in China, South America, and the U.S. This experience provided her with invaluable insights that she later applied to support local small businesses over the last 25 years, helping them thrive in competitive environments.
As the founder, host, and producer of the ABC News Affiliate - Southern California Business Report, Yvette has established herself as a respected thought leader. Her program highlights local entrepreneurs' successes while offering essential insights on market trends and resources, fostering partnerships that drive collaboration and growth.
Yvette also hosts "IE Latino Voices," produced by KVCR Public Media, which amplifies the stories of Latino community members. Supported by the CIELO fund at the Inland Empire Community Foundation, this initiative aims to uplift underrepresented narratives and advocate for education and community resources.
Her dedication to community service shines through her role in developing the Community Leadership Certificate Program with the Inland Empire Hispanic Leadership Council and the University of La Verne. This program, recognized as an outstanding Pecha Kucha presentation in 2017 by the International Association for Research on Service Learning and Community Engagement Conference, enhances community leaders' skills, focusing on strategic thinking and multicultural leadership. It promotes Latino leadership and reflects Yvette's commitment to inclusivity.
Yvette is deeply engaged in civic responsibilities, having served as chairwoman of the Community Development Block Grant Committee for Upland from 2012 to 2016 and as a Planning Commissioner from 2016 to 2020. Her leadership roles emphasize her commitment to addressing the needs of her community and promoting sustainable growth. She has led regional Health Summits and Education Summits, amplifying important community dialogues.
In her personal life, Yvette is a devoted mother to her three children: Sophia, an aspiring law student; Nicholas, an industrial engineering student; and Alexander, a high school student. Her commitment to family mirrors her professional dedication, showcasing her balance between personal growth and community responsibility.
Yvette aspires to visit all 50 states with her family, reflecting her adventurous spirit and desire to expose her children to America's rich cultural diversity.
